Transcription
7-25-33 than E.alpinus but is really more or less
heavy in all parts. Flo heads about same size
as int. alpinus but rays almost a quite white.
Pres this is same plant as 6-29-31.

7-25-33? Erigeron alpinus L.
Fl. Rocher de Naye. Effect much as in 857 but
plants 2-3 heads. In one plant threadlike flo few
(with not making a def ring visible to eye as in 857 )
in another plant seemingly none. Rays same
color as in 857, invol bracts rather less spreading;
and green (rather than purplish as in 857.)
In many ways this seems to fall bet *857v*858

alpestre L. ssp. brachypetalum Durand & Pittier
Su III 287. See T.alpestre L.Bor 32, BVH 45. F2 (not
fully ripe) and remains of flo but not enough to
help wth petals v stamens). Plant well collected with
root but no sign of runners. Root is like continuation
(at 1/2 same size) for about 1 in then branched at tips
several rootlets. Root oblique to main axis at
(from tip) root a continuous curve comprising
roots base (at.) St shrivel, about here 8in to base
& wth then branching into now elongated
