pedicels many hooked hairs on calyx seems to belong to M silvatica Hoffm. But this latter the seed is larger (2 mm long & correspondingly wider) & def thinner edged at top (almost wing-edged) & def field on inside sep threads top. See S.V.II for grad. atoms bet these 2 species. 857 7-25-33 Erigeron alpinus L. Cote II 291 = E.-alpe SO/KC672 cumino Brig F-l. Rochers de Naye. During S.V it is key. This has no gland-hairs and has many the thread-like fls bet rays & disks. Fl head less than 2cm (about 19 mm at most measuring across to tips grays), but not “etwas dickl, fleischig” and all have c.t distinct mucron. This seems to rule out the poss of E. neglectus Turner altho their involucres might seem well described as shaggy with weak fursted (ie crumbled) hairs. Rays distinctly ray lilac. Three specs this col all rf with only 1 head. 858 7-25-33 Erigeron glabratus Nopff ex Hornsch Cote II 291 SO/KC672 Bon 161 = E. alpinus var apoglabratus Brig F-l Rochers de Naye.
