7-18-33 branched throughout, the lower branches as long as main st. & to thickish v def "velve-hirsute" as are the two lowest if now 2 cm from base yet with branch in its axil. no sign of rosette. This lowest lf 6.5cm long x1 cm wide, lanceolate & tapered to base but could not be called petioled. Upper lvs acule, flng, broadly acute. Calyx 4 mm long on the longest pedicels 8mm long. Calyx cut fully to middle (the lobes erect v touching in fr.) at all, the bars (except toward tips & later) hooked. Corolla tube shorter than calyx. Corolla limb concave (not more than 2 mm diam in the fle remaining to be studied?) go blue which is perhaps dinged purplish (not what one thinks of as "forget- me-not"-blue. An opening bud is def faint. Looks right for Myosotis; fls without bracts as this can- not be any other genus of the family.) 7-18-33 Alisma Plantago-aquatica L. The capsules now are almost or quite touching in the center but (see STKI 35) the stamens, style, heart shaped lvs the 7 whorled branches leave no question identity 7-18-33 Ranunculus Lingual L.
