6-28-33 Menyanthes trifoliata L. Cote I 566, Bon 216, BVH 314, A 660, SVKI 523. Frequent in marsh with Liparis. Only if collected but fruiting stems observed in middle ditch. [5-5-34 Fl. at same spot] 6-28-33 Linum usitatissimum L. Cote I 282, Bon 54, BVH 87, A 531, BMGCP 440, SVK 430. Fl. v.adv. fr. du "dûmp" at Villeneuve. No doubt this is annual with one erect st. (this in one case 2 very young sts are appearing at base of main st.) Lvs 4-5mm wide. Petals 12 mm long, a bright blue with darker veining v.a. somewhat lighter base. "Cloisons" not at all "barbus" as Cote des. for L. augustifolium. [8-2-33 Capsules immatdum. Seeds 5mm long, shape as ill Cote.] 453 6-28-33 Eruca Fl v.young fr., Almost surely on "dump" Villeneuve. Poss. E. sativa L. Cote I 78, Bon 21, BMGCP 309 = E. vesicaria Cav. var. sspativa Thellung SVKI 298. but plant here diff. looks to the plant well known in Majorca. St slightly rough hairy at base but whole plant has a glabrous look. Plant ½a light green (almost yellowish) green not dark green v.a. often purple tinged as in May. Lvs seem more cut than those in May. St. branching at base and above so that in finest will have a very bushy appearance. Upper lvs very similar to the lower and though smaller and rather distinctly
