Perigynia 4mm (SVI) X 1 1/2 mm. at base with long scales pointing downward. Spikes 1 cm long 5-20-34 Carex glauca Murr Cost III 505, Box 335 = C. - Sess & 237: C. flacca Seliret BVH 519 = C. diversicolor Grandy SWKI/20 Adv. fr. Allen. Abbr Plainsland -> Au Massillon Commonal Veylaux hthl elsewhere. Often aberrd & wonder what with its dark scales & green perigynia when inff and pendant & spikes later. Note that perigynia have few short sharp hairs at base SWI. 5-23-34 Rumex Acetosella L. Cost III 198, Box 271, BVH 396, & 357, SVKI 216 8' fl. in old stump in front V-M. Allen today. Never noticed elsewhere in his vicinity 5-23-34 Rhamnus Cathartica L. Cost I 274, Box 64 BVH 104, & 561, BMJ C.P 474, SVKI 446 Fl & Allen. Path short east of "Temple" -> V-M. Branches not exactly opp. Largest lvs 5 x 7 cm, on petiole 915mm (hence petiole not 1/2 as long as limb (Coste). Petiole much longer
