5-15-34 Laburnum alpinum Series BMJ CP 419 = L.— Presl SVK I 394 = Cytisus alpinus Mill. Cent. I. 323, Ben. 71. In Roff. Woods V-M → Chambland → Sonebaux. Pétioles young growth glabrous or with long spreading hairs. Lfts with few similarities harrson surface beneath (more or mid-rib) and def. ciliate with fine short hairs. Harrs on edges 1mm long, plainly visible to eye. Lfts thinner looking than in L.anag-, and ?same colour both sides, and mostly acute at tip. Lfts in stalks ?1mm, seeming (to eye) much less definitely stalked. Young lfts (just unfolding) are like the older ones as regards leaviness. S.Roff. 5-15-34 Laburnum (not cult.) In fl. Sonebaux → Libram Conest. Of growth only 5in high (root left in place). Slope of lfts & hairs on young growth petioles & beneath all suggest L.anagysides except that the hairs are much longer (perfectly visible to eye) and looser than in L.anag-. Upper surface of lfts, too, have few longish spreading hairs. There lfts are all young but they are not like the young lfts in L.anag- as cult at V-M. Perhaps the fact that the plant itself is young accounts for the diff. or perhaps this is L.anagyroides Medik. var Abeckingeri ## C.H. Schneider. SVK II 220.
