5-4-34 Ranunculus auricomus L. Coste I:29, Bor g BVH9, SVK1:66 Fl. Vol. fr. Glion on upper path towards 2nd saw mill shortly before entering woods in quantity. All Costa and lower upper road. 5-5-34 Viola silvestris Lamk. Fl. Villeneuve-Bouveret. Exact place not known. Spur stigmata all seem exactly like plants at Glion. Several plants, perhaps some from woods south of Norville. 5-5-34? Viola nemorosa Newman Walstedt & Mertens See 4-24-34 Fl. Several plants Villeneuve some low as tho from meadows some high and perhaps from woods south of Norville. All have spur thick, quond (not tilting downward) as in V. Riviniana and styles vary from that of Riviniana to that of V. nem- orosa (see 4-19-34) but spur is always fringed ± violet v matching the underside of petals, never as dark as in V. silvestris but mere as white as in V. Riviniana as found at Glion. 5-5-34 Viola cassinia L. Coste I:55, Bor 37, BVH 57 All # 54, SVK1 459. Fl. Bet. Villeneuve & Bouveret. (Perhaps in marsh behind Bouveret Plage but not at all sure.) Many sts close together at tips of root and one st. about 1 cm lower. These are all lfy from base with monolad lvs as in BVH del # but there is no sign of a central rosette of lvs below.
