Sheaths def. pubescent but rest of plant glabrous.
St. with 3 nodes, the internode being 3, 7 to 9 cm in
length from base up and at 25 cm bet the uppermost
node and base grist. Lf 8mm wide with about 7 strong
nerves with many fine ones between (markable
eye when held against light). Ligule def. rounded
at top. Palea very truncate at apex and slightly
shorter than lemma. Lemma 8 mm long and
almost 1/2 as long.

when its stems taken apart when collected, but leaf
exactly as ill (Cote) for E.P.-and the lower lobes though

(inst always) well supplied with lobe bracts (bracty
hs). Flos a def. the paleole yellow. Sepals erect to spreading;
