9-24-31? Bergenia ligulata Engl (See 4-20-31) Fl & hs Cult. Clon on wall near Veyaux Cemetery. Did same as 4-20-31, if spiny-ciliate, covered with small pits (not glandular) which are visible to eye only on back especially near veins. Infl a panicl. Styl calyx red. 9-24-31 ? Vitex Negundo L BMQC P 632 Fl Cult Val-Mont. Thought to be this v not V ignea-cactus L because hs are not grayish tomentose below and infl is def. panicled. Branchlets quadrangular, exterior, lip with fine brownish pubeslences. After the shorter, lower ones about 1 3/4 in., the terminal ones about 4 in overall x 3/4-1 in broad. Lower lfts sessile & entire; the 3 up on lfts narrowed to petiolar base and usually with a few coarse teeth near middle. All acuminate. L fts dull (hardly dark) green or lab- rnous above; slightly lighter (but not gray) beneath with slight pubeslences upon nerve, the are- face with minute (20x) slumming glandular spots. L is aromatic. Infl spreading paniculate in lower part. Fl 9 mm long to tip upper lobes of corolla. Corolla a strong lavender (lighter outside because of white pubulence).
