Diff (to eye) from A. s - in that it is more slender and spreading grass and rough to touch; its smaller, inflorescence, while of yet weaker & more spreading. Petals redder and without the def at critical base of A. s - , pedicel much longer. Fil- aments slant ciliate at base, otherwise glabrous not pubes- cent or becket at base as in A. s - . Claws of petals bearded on face as in A. s - . Plant not at all glandular and strongly refracted in fr. & desc. Seeds faintly reticulated, dull, yellowish brown but darker one end. Opened carpal & has tuft 2 few long ciliate hairs at base. 7-13-31 Sedum maximum Suttie BMJCP 331, Bon 110 = S. — Hoff Cate I 114 = S. Telephium L. ssp maximum Rony v Canus SVI 321. Fls uniflora fr. Greyerz found, Northron. Roots a cluster of small carrot-shaped tubers. (Cate and SVX say perennial). BMJCP "annual" must be mistake) and roots to shooting tubers enlargment to eye. Lo of for in 3 1/2 6 x 3 cm sessile but more really embracing. Flo greenish-white, & Anther reddish brown. Petals hardly bordered at apex.
