*This dried corolla was taken from 2 boxes in box and
applies to L. purpureum L.
9-4-31? Lamium amplexicaule L. Cost.II/37, Bon 252,
Bon-371, #703, SVI 561 [illegible]. Stages - Vevey. Plant will
took] L. a. - . No bractlets (Cost). Calyx lobes soft, hairy
inside (SVK) the less so than outside, "convenient après
la floraison" (Cost). Corolla 15mm long, tube enlarging
rather more gradually than will (Cost). Lower lip with
st apex as will (Cost and SVK) with tiny tooth between, the
lateral lobes small but well def. linear appendage [2-
or at 1mm long]. Tube perhaps less and not very def.
transverse entstriction or evenly hairy near base.
Upper lip entire (Cost), v def. pubescent outside. Anthers
bearded, very dark brown. Pollen dark orange. Corolla
has slight outward bulge on back just below base [upper
lip]. Carpel when not quite ripe deflexed with a white
appendage at base which extends V-shaped upward
on the 2 edges. At later stage carpels more or less curved
with white embossed effect.

florence distinct (20X). Heads have apple-ish odor.
