Jezz Corte III 402. Fruit bracts four, spee. alway 1-nerved & purplish. Spur horizontal or ascending, enlarged at tip & almost as long as ovary. Note: however that besides the local two, there are two (or tracts?) cheating at to near top. (See 5-29-31 4-23-31 Lugula jairosa. Mild. (See 4-17-31) Slim. F-E mature but advanced to show chal. plainly. Termin- appendage more def. hooked than ill Corte III 455 & infl. markedly divaricate ? 4-23-31 Acer opaulifolium Vill. Corte I 268, Box 61 ♂ F1. Glion. I vs just appearing like ill Corte, very hairy beneath. Exserted part of stamens as long as perianth i.e. 5mm. 4-23-34 ? Magnolia Soulangiana, Soul. B 41) C P 290 Fl. Cult. Val-Mont. Glion Tree 60 ♂ F1 (found about 4-15) from furry side before lob. Petals to 6 in long. Sepals 2 ½ - 3 in long about ¾ as wide as petals. Petals & sepals of same color & texture, flushed with rosy purple outside, growing paler or white towards tip, inside white. Fl bell-shaped, 6 in across is spread open, fragrance moderately strong. (Just M. Soulangiana, first one of its parents) Petals 6. Filaments purplish. Ovaries 2 in each carpel attached toward axis.
