(prob in upper parts). Strong herbed root with remains of deads?, 2 fl-stems v small rosettes. Basal (rosette) lvs obvate small to 20x9mm, entire, rounded at apex, narrowed to very short petiole, almost a quite glabrous sheath, above hirsute with stiffish 2-3 forked hairs with tubercular base. If surface glabrous but this lvs v no hairs simple. St b in hirsute at base with forked hairs like these only with ample hair of similar texture intermixed, quite glabrous from tellow inf upwards. St lvs few, small, erect, ac- acum at: to 13x5mm, lanceolate v long, upper surface almost glabrous, lower surface hirsute with forked hairs, entire, blunt, sessile, rounded at base, not at all auricled. Infl 3-3½ in long about 16-fructed. Pods (now just full size) /5-17mm x 1.5- mm, erect; pedicels 4mm ascending. Podsglat-
