Les Pleiades meudon avoiz hotel. St 2 ft high. Base at clothedin remains of dead brs, but not buried in soil now. Loos flat, 3-5 mm wide, ciliate. Sheath v low almost glabrous. Culm finely striate v puberulent, becoming very soft hairy under infl. St also 3-4 in long, the culm usually marked for 1/3-2/3 its length below infl. Infl about 3/2 in long. Glomes thin shining hirsute or beak sharp pointed. Lemmas thin wedges, 3-nerved downto green back, scabrous, acuminate, not awned. Branchles of infl. pubescent. Pindie looks silver v green to eye 6-16-34 Fl. Baysset marais. Infl with silvery pinky look when growing. Glumes pubescent and sometimes almost short (1/2 in) awned [illegible] 7-11-31 E pilobium palustre L. Cote II 80, Box 104, BVH/58 & A 597 Bud v advanced fo Les Pleiades - Morsettes St to 16 in high. St v low finely puberulent with short white upward curving hairs. Loos entire, edges very slightly revolute, lanceolate, narrowed at base and long tapered to apex but tip blunt. Stigma [illegible] "Du masse". Signs of storms sus- pected!
