Culm finely striate v puberulent, becoming very soft hairy under infl. St also 3-4 in long, the culm usually marked for 1/3-2/3 its length below infl. Infl about 3/2 in long. Glomes thin shining hirsute or beak sharp pointed. Lemmas thin wedges, 3-nerved downto green back, scabrous, acuminate, not awned. Branchles of infl. pubescent. Pindie looks silver v green to eye 6-16-34 Fl. Baysset marais. Infl with silvery pinky look when growing.
