7-11-31? Clerypanthemum Corymbosum L. BHJCO 759 = Leucanthemum — AJ Costa #342, Bon 166. Fl Cult at hotel les Pleiades. St def put; lvs put on stems below vals or surface (20 x) ½ segments. 1-2 cm wide. Hence perhaps the form L. Pourtetii Trimb (Costa). St inf. & Indian v clearly peeled (giving effect of Achillea but clearly not C. because receptacle naked and achenee striate and with cup like pappus. Each fl 1cm diam, rays broad (direct orbicular) def 3-toothed; disk flo white- ish, but disk because stamens & stigmas pre- sents a dull yellowish appearance to eye. Lvs to 9 x 5 in cut along to delis in lanceolate deeply toothed (but not pinnate) segments (much like if Costa #358 Achillea cymbifera DC). Lvs glab dotted both sides. Odor strong. Have on plant & many short articulations often with very fine tips. 7-11-31 Anthemis Cotula L. Costa #345, Bon 162, BVH 242, J846 Fl. Meadow abv hotel les Pleiades. Seems only poss. the odorless. L vsls 3-pinnate, the ultimate seg. slat v narrow. Scales very narrow, pointed, shorter than fls and not found near circumfer- ence. Rays usually have something in way of stigmas but perhaps sterile. Fl too young to study.
