Surdy H. thi spec. does not show rays perfect or mature achene. Anthers black (?), St is entirely smooth but lvs rough on both sides. Lgules to 27x9 mm, narrowing at base v somewhat at apex (so might be called oblong). Bracts joined R about 13 mm long, the lower half thick tightly appressed (so that facts look united) the upper half of y abut 4 mm wide, spreading with veins visible to eye from inside. Scales recept with fine yellow lfts showing above, unturned dark flo. Disk flo lgs same shade of bright deep yellow.
