6-30-31 Catkins peduncled, opp. uppermost flower bud between as deep (B44) gland usually divided into 2 narrow, sometimes toothed at top, lobes (See Coats) Scales very much red. 6-30-31 Salix retusa 1. (See 5-29-31) F for ♂ and ♀. Note that while ♀ have only 1 gland as deep 5-29- 31, ♂ flo have 2 glands of which 1 stands in front and 1 behind the 2 stamens. 6-30-31 Ramunculus alpestris 1. (See 6-12-81) Fl frequent Rochers de Noye eastern ridge. 6-30-31 Veronica saxatilis Jacq. Coats # 37 which must equal V. fruticosa Jacq B44 846, So KIS93. Fl Rochers de Noye. Corollas fallen when studied. St slender but def woody, decumbent & prostrate rooting, throwing up between fls to 3 in. These with numerous pairs of lips br, close smaller at base as in all (Coats) Lev oblong not long, scarcely pubesced, entire or with 1 or 2 obscure teeth on each side below the rounded or obtuse apex. Plant nearly glab- rous below, def downy above with short hairs
