Note hale pulbescent. 2mm long v glumes bot & 3-merd the 2nd not greatly longer v wider than of ret. 6-30-30 Trifolium repens L #509, BV/II 358 F-L Bickerton. Note stipules form tube sheathing at below nodes & stearved 6-20 v 21-29. 6-30-30 Trifolium hybridum L #509, BV/II 357 F-L Bickerton. Note stipules sheath at base being united for short distance at base only v not united at back above petiole. Much larger than in T. repens. 6-30-30 Trifolium pratense L #509, BV/II 353-FX Stipules divided quite to base in front & not united at back above petiole. Heads sometimes slant ped- necled but since calyx tube distinctly pubescent evidently not T. medium.
