Bristles & hair not def. beard..[illegible] Scales blunt purple-brown with thick green mid rib or vitatant. Considering Scirpus paniciflorus. 276 6-13-30 Carex Young fs. M. & no signs of any on plant. Plants connect- ed with what prof. would be called above. Plants 3 1/4 in. high with numerous retaceones at base, shorter than culm v rough w edges at tip. Culm rather strate angled. Spikes solitary terminal & bactless. Fls 102 less. Scales brown the lower ones acuminate, the upper more nearly acute. Perigynia green with brown hardly toothed beak, stigmata 2. Fr. spreading Heads 10mm long at most. With above. 276 277 6-13-30 ? Carex M fls only. Perhaps same spc as abov. v possibly same as Cyperaceae 6-4-30 but shorter (3 in tall) v scales blunter, with above.
