Prs this Note: st, bracts, pedicels, mid ribs of calyx and edges mid rib of lor beneath thickly pubescent with white hairs. Calyx lobes white edged. Styles 3 or sometimes 4. 6-13-30 Drafainsana L. Bv B II/58 Fl on bluff on sea side of ponds no. J Robinsma 1½-2½ in high. Evidently same as last summer 6-30 v 7-3-29 tho 1 spec. has st leafless except near base. Pr 245 6-13-30 Cyperaceae Fl by 1/2 little pond nwdg Robinsma. Seems to be annual with roots much intermixed but could not distinguish any common rootstock or other connection. 3 in high. St. filiform pubescente (not at all def. I & J). Culm leafless wtd 1 or 2 sheaths at base, upper sheath being bluntly pointed. Low or perhaps side culms similarly clothed rise from same root. Fl head terminal. Solitary about brown long, bristles, thicker than culm, all scales to out. tending perfects fls. Stamen 3, styles 3- cleft. Oblong (at S.) leaf prolonged in tapering
