9-7-37 longx, 3 nerved, blunt at apex. Stamens 3. Grain almost spherical. Stigmas 2 lobed, edges thin & white. Sheaths overlapping at base fat. It makes above middle ligule 3/4 mm (perhaps is hairy or lacks) Blades 1mm wide, flat, (1/2 ± concaveolate) not more than 1-2 in long. Branches spreading at angle of about 60°. minutely serraceous (20x = ?). — Scrims Mrs G 15) Best guess is Sporobolus uniflorus Muell & Tr., BuB±198. Infl suggests all BuB except that it is more simple ligetic in effect and lemma not acuminate as ill v does (BuB). Best [G] says "others" & the ill(G) would fit very well. R.B.K. does not understand "Frond conspicuously narrowed at the base" G 41 (key) a character not mentioned in BuB or Clute. Stile frons 9.5 cm at widest, 8.5 cm at base Fertile frond 10cm at widest; 8 cm at base.
