other leads seem less so: Scales blunt v alutest thex; perigynia (not all aristate etc) and perigynia not all compressed but plump v inflated. Perigynia a light, bright green (some now brownish toward the tip, about 2.3mm long of which about .8 mm is definite scales, with 2 definite teeth. Scales with hyaline borders, brown with green center. Lower sterile shoots overtop culm but lower culms alother than culm. Low perigynia- what nodulose. Uppermost spike secdle with often an alutaceous tract, lower spike (when present) short peduncled, erect with a bract which is sheathless, erect to divergent v reacher almost to tip of spike. Culms about 10 in high, rather sharp edged, smooth below but roughened belownfl. low rough on edges toward tip. Basal sheaths reddish v becoming filamentose.
