root runners. St purple base to tip, rough with rather
stiff - downward arching white hairs or almost
glabrous. Lower leaves small valvate round, upper
the ovate to 1 3/4 x 1 1/2 in, rounded to sub-cordate at
base, obtuse to broadly acute at apex, the two lobes
set off not close together. Hrs firm & rough on both sides
with rather sparse white hairs. Petersden district
3/in or less (see 9-5-30 for comparison with M. arvensis)
