Lvs further developed than 6-2-30 (ie ±1/2in), oblate, acute (not at all acuminate) narrowed to base, serrate with low gland tipped upward pointing teeth, long white hairy on back at first but quickly glabrous. Stipules with gland tipped teeth. Old twigs brown w distinctly pubescent (A tree which looked like this near little bridge to Cooleiswood road at least 30 ft high with single gray bark.) Cymes to 2 in long. Silky white hairs at base of the new twigs keeping young bs conspicuous.
