439 8-1-30 ? Potentilla monspeliensis L var labradorica Fernald #482 inc in P. m - BVBH 253 Fl in sand at edge of by Stephenville Xing slightly so. J R.P. station. Well developed, taproot branched at top. Plants 1 inch high and silvery pubescent rather than hisute. Fls 1 cm wide, petals emarginate, darker than sepals. 440 8-1-30 Spergularia Fl (when picked all closed when studied) & fr (young v almutripe? ) Mud flats east J R.P in front of Dun & Parker mile Xing. 3 -1/2 in high, unbranched, the very (perannual?) plants with roots intermixed. Quite glabrous, light or pinkish green. Sheathing stipules with free part short, bluntly Deltic or almost rounded. Juv opp, fleshy verte about 1 cm long, 1 mm less wide. Fls 1-3. Petals pink and large. Pedest petal seems 2x (almost) as long as sepals, glint. Seeds brown 1 mm wide v very slightly longer, covered with minute processes with diff gran near edge making a rounded ridge J the edge. This at least does point to S. canadensis Don # 375 = Tissa - Button BVBH 60. But note pedicel of repeat pool only 2 lines long 2 x Calyx and younger.
