Perhaps on seaward bluffs. 5-11 in high. Spikelet 2mm long. Glumes equal, the 1st beaked & hispidulous on upper part of back, 2nd broader & rounded & smooth on back. Both 1-nerved. Lemma hyaline, 3-nerved, about 1/2 mm, very finely toothed at huncate apex. Palet 1/2 as long as lemma & also 1-nerved. #36, #38 7-17-29 Festuca Fl. Seaward bluffs so. ? mouth of Baraclos Bk 4-7 in. Spikelets 10mm including awns. Lemma exclusive awns 5mm. (These meas. suggestive rather than exact.) F. rubra L. G161, BoBI 290 #37 7-17-29 Festuca Fl.
