III has lvs. with veins impressed above & very prominent beneath. lvs rugose above & whitish beneath. 7-15-29 ? Populus Canidiana Ait. G329, BoBI 588. Same area as 6-28-29. Many lvs. as def. cordate v broad as ill. (BoB) this others are narrow & rounded or truncate. Petiols v lvs. beneath very finely pubescent (20x) shows yellowish resinous deposits. lvs dark green above, white beneath. Strongly odorous. Suckers freely from it with lvs oval, rounded at base (not at all like lvs on tree). Bark gray, broken No flw fr.
