6-20-29 path slightly above saw-mill. Matted, long runners, rooting at nodes. Almost entirely glabrous. Lvs 3-foliate, veins distinct projecting in sharp but low teeth. Lfts short stalked, pet- iolules slightly hairy but stipules form a tubular sheath both at above & where nerves prolonged into 2 subulate teeth on back. (See 6-15-29) [6-31-29 No flr frs. Lvs less def. toothed. Stxstipules reddish. Some lfts showing whitish meal in cutes] 6-31-29 Poa annua L. G 155, BvB I 253. FL. Field near P.R. from Hotel Spence Brook. Palea hairy on beaks. Lemma hyaline at tip. 6-21-29 Anthoxanthum odoratum L. G 121, BvB I 171. FL. Spence Bl with abrs. Midrib of lg hardly dis- tinct from other veins. 6-28-29 Primula mistassinica Mielx. G 644, BvB II 708. FL. Very common at Barabois Camp. (Sugl 6-31-29) lvs beneath slightly (sometimes very little) v calyx lobes inside copiously covered with very pale sulphur (almost white) colored meal. Scape, bracts v outside of calyx also slight traces of mealiness or possibly very minute projections that seem neither hairs nor glands (84x). Scape 2-3-5 inches. Pedicels 1/4-1/2 in long. Bracts 4mm
