Young lvo. & bud scales resinous to touch & smell. Very young lvo. finely hairy beneath & more evidently so on margins. Petioles channeled finely puberulent. [6-28-29. No flor fr. Barcelois Blk at bank just above R.R. bridge, prob same as above has petioles finely puberulent.] (See 7-15-29) 6-18-29 Equisetum sylvaticum G. 52, BoBI 46. Spires all shed. Sp. Blk R.P. northw. Spinules very small & not evidently (20x) recurved. Also 6-20-29 Sp. Blk Trail. 2 fertile stems smooth, no spinules shining. 1 sterile stem spinules more or less recurved. [7-20-29 Fertile Sbl. Post-au-Post near lime quarry. R.Wb in ravine to westward.] 6-18-29 Equisetum fluviatile L. G. 53, BoBI 41 Flexible & sterile stems. Sp. Blk R.P. northw. Spires undeveloped.
