Fl. Spruce Brook, northw. along R.R. #407, BuBII 90
(see note in BuB 9-5-27. Perhaps A. subtva Willd
forma neglecta Robinson (see #408) (see BuB 90 un-
der A.alba). Stamens 6-8mm. Petals 4-5mm,
slombic spathulate, acute, not truncate, at apex.
Upper part of plant, esp. peduncle v pedicels v
lbs beneath, pubescent. Ovaries white (Also
6-20-29 Spruce Bk Trail.) Stalks 19½ into joint
branching.
6-18-29 ?? Viola pallens Brainerd G584, BuBII 556,
Fl. Spruce Bk R.R.track northw. Fl.white with
purple lines on 3 lower petals, not noticeably
fragrant. Lateral petals beardless (except in case
out). Of the 3 sp recorded from Nfld:
renifolia, incognita v pallens, this would
make it renifolia. But, the some plants
have more or less hairs on petioles, peduncles
v underside of lbs. (If few hairs on upper side),
more as hairy as all V. renifolia v some
entirely glabrous. Lf like larger lf Gill but
most are pointed at apex like the lower lb. Gill.
Plant 3in high; fl well above lb. Lb about
1inxint.
Plant brought in by Miss Whittington (no fl.
