9-7-29 Myriophyllum alternifolium DC. G603, BvB II 615 Unripe fr. Highlands Pond near above v near Camp towards outlet. Large plants but only 1 infl. spike. (See 8-23-29). Lowest set 3 flo (represented by fr.) 1 each in axila of 4 brs like the lower two v almost in a whorl. The next set (2) almost opp. in axila of small deeply toothed bracts. About this flo alt in axila of bracts that toward top become almost entire. Lvs in whorls of 3-4. Carpel seems smooth. 9-7-29 Carex flava L. G 245, BvB I 430. Fr. Naxida Highlands Pond bet. Camp v Giles'. Very like ill. (G) v agrees well with desc. but scales not blunt (G), acute to acuminate. 9-7-29 Vaccinium Oxycoceus L. G 641: Oxycoecus -MacM. BvB II 704 Unripe fr. No doubt that antlies is acuminat whale of stigma as long or longer than body but lip seems more then slightly (BvB) saccate
