8-28-29 Solidago.
Fl. Path from Highland Camp toward McClennan's Pond. Need second and not S. rugosa or S. Canadensis...I recorded in manuals should be S. unilugulata Postes G 793, Br BI 392. But lower lvs often 3cm wide & the uppermost hardly "linear" or "appressed ascending" (G). Strongly suggestive of S. neglecta if poss. in this locus. Some specimens with undulate lvs. with fascicles in axils & slightly pubescent achene suggest S. juncea Ait. [Recorded on card for S. unilugulata]
8-28-29 Lycopodium inundatum L. G 56, Br BI 44.
Very young spores. Far side of McClennana Pond in wet sand. The spore bearing st. very short (1/2 in) & spore in very early stage.
