Bluffs bet mouth / Buttes / Hornmouth Highlands Rvrs. Sheaths vs dark green but noticeably glaucous / blades / sterile shoots 40% in wide / leaves 2-8 in long (No fle found). Rootlets thru sheaths / old lvs as sand drifts around plant. # 106 8-19-29 Ammophila arenaria Lindl G 136, BV BI 212 Fl. Bluffs bet mouth / Buttes / Hornmouth / Highlands Not frequently found, at least in fl. Spikelets purplish draged. Rudiment jawns (BV B) 1mm long. Note that in this lvs are narrower than in Elymus, the setaceous tips longer, lvs lighter (more yellowish) green, not glaucous / sheaths esp at top purplish. Rootlets thru sheaths & old lvs as in Elymus. # 77 8-19-29 Ligusticum scoticum L [G 618] BV BI 648 Fls unripe. One spec only seen. On same bluff as above, probably (not certainly) no. Little Harbor. Thought at first to be small strayed spec. Angelica atropurpurea but prob this. 9 in high. Basal petioles purplish & base of stem aromatic [root not collected]. lvs as will.
