Surely this: flat topped, Hales rays 2 ½ mm but all tracks brown almost black at tips or margins. [8-19-29 Fl. Bluff near mouth of Highlands River. Infl. flat-topped & st. lfy. Seems surely this but blades of rays are 3mm long i.e. ½ as long as involucre. 8-5-29 Eriocaulon articulatum Noron G 261 =E. septangulare with BvB I 454 Bud. Pondie marsh near F. le P. Station. [8-26-29 Fl. Highlands Pond v 8-28-29 McClernan's Pond 8-5-29 Solidago uliginosa Nutt. G 791, BvB III 387 Early H. Pt of F. le P. marsh. [8-6-29 Bud Marsh just west of Red Rock Pool on path to Capt. Campbell's. None over 12in lower lf. 4 in (including the 1+in petiole) x ½ in. and 8-19-29 Fl. Rd. to mouth of Butter Bluff from Highlands Camp. But achene, at this stage, not entirely glabrous.
