green.[Pressed specimen of 10-7-29--but not with microscope--with space 7-25-29 it seems the same. #53 8-3-29 Pyrula americana Sweet GL29, R.BI.668 Fl. Brought by Charlie from R.R. track bet. F.l.P. & Black Duck. 8½-10 in high. 14 to 15-fl( not counting several aborted buds.) low ¼-1½ in. None small, but scape bear only 1 bract, ½ in long, in addition to the 1-several at its base. Low clin- ing. Fls ½ in acros, white (could hardly be called greenish) anthers sacs mucronate at base, no "distinct neck" obvious but the calyx lobes are certainly no more than ⅓ length of petals; tip not very acute but slightly spreading [8-5-29 Plants seen west of R.R. very shortly after leaving mark going from F.l.P. towards Black Duck. See 8-6-29 ?P. chlorantha #120 8-5-29 Listera cordata R.Bs. G316=Ophrys--L.Bb[illegible]68 Fl.(evidently withering) in belt of Spruce woods on path from F.l.P.Cabin to R.R. (varies 4 mm long & swollen so as to be almost globular & split down sides into 6 sections (3 narrow & 3 wide) but evidently not ripe as a few unopened ones remained
