8-26-29, in very short pistoles, oblong rather than vrate, teeth lower, v upper surface more rugose looking. # 97 8-1-29 Ranunculus Fl. v well adv. fr. Trout Blk. Stem to 3 ft. Rooting at nodes. (Seen & studied from same place 7-27-29 [10-8-29 M.L. Fernald identified this as R. Macounii Britton G 398, Bv BI 112 but see 7m4 = 35 # 56 8-1-29 Viola Fl. Sandy island oppo Cape Campobella (i.e. near # 55) One flwy. Blue. Lateral petals bearded - not heavily v not at all clavately. Odd petal narrow v boat shaped, sparcey bearded. Plant less than 2 in high: 14 7/8 x 3/4 in, glabrous. Growing in pure sand. Other plants in vicinity but none in fr. of fl. V. nephrophylla Greene G 581, Bv BI 551 # 50 8-1-29 Listera auriculata Wiegand G 316 = Ophrys --- House Bv BI 568 Fl fading. Rt. bank Harris Blk oppo Red Rock Hole with Pyxol minus.
