7-27-29 Cinna latifolia Griseb. G137, BoBI202 FL. In woods, rt. bank Trout Bk. near Pyrola minor v P. secunda. FL Prob. Abortively never more than 6mm. wide & palea seems 1-nerved only, hence perhaps C. arundinacea L (not like still BoB.) Awn very slender. Awn 1mm or slightly more. Glumes not more than 1/2 mm dif. in length. Spikelst without awn being not more then 4mm, The 2nd glume about equalling the lemma. Glumes & lemma seem smooth except on beak. [8-5-29 FL, Campbells FL near Black Duck Hx; L2212mm wide. Panicle 12-15 in long profuse. (7-27-29 space prob not well developed) 3 nerves of palea not distinguishable. Lemma seems entire at tip. Looked broad flat look. Panicle shining light green. 8-19-29 FL, Highland Pond on rd thru James Gale's place. 7-27-29 Danthonia spicata Beauv. G142, BoBI222 FL. Meadows along Trout Bk. # 93 New to Nfld 7-27-29 Lotus corniculatus L. G511, BoBI.359 FL on young gf. Meadows at mouth of Trout Bk. One plant only seen. 7-27-29 Festuca elatior L. G162, BoBI 272 FL. Meadow along Trout Brook.
