Transcription
4-13-32 almost all at once, 15-17 mm long, richly colored,
the limb of standard (which is protected from law?) mason
reined darker, the other parts bright purple. Calyx pubescent,
tube 4 mm. the upper 2 teeth very obtuse, the others
3 mm., narrow valvae (see Coll. Catte entatokey p 380) and
so hairy as to give effect "plumeuses avant la fraison" (Catte.)
Clawy stipitate very pubescent.

stipose in longitudinal bands that were outside folds
in bud.

side north of quarry. Varying #s from one fibrous
root, to 4-5 cm in length. Single erect, very brittle (Catte.
& Don) FLs usually 7 (Catte.) Palea sparsely long ciliate
forward tips.
4-13-32 Avena fatua L. forma barbata Ku I 301
= Q. barbata Brot. Bas 497, Catte III 591 FL
with about 2 1/2 fl high. Cules bearing only 2 to
three short but culms several from same
root giving lfy effect to base of plant.
