? & petioles hirsute. Best 2 adlaim now 3 1/2-4 in
long (BMGPC v BWH. DII says shorter)

I 39% The solitary fls sessile; calyx regular wth
equal teeth, pod sessile. So far easy. Many branches
from basal spreading in sort gmat on ground.
lower lw 1-2 pairs of dentate (lfts 4x4 mm) wth
rudimentary tendril 1mm long; young fs now
glabrous except for few fine hairs on edges. This
points towards #987-989. But this the short (less than
1 cm) tendrils on upper lws are often simple, thre or
uppermost are sometimes 2 or 3 parted. ? in this
group then perh V. heterophylla since root seems
that [annual (not "annuante-stolonifere") fls
small (perh 8-11 mm overall this w/ltlrd when
studied)] all stipules def dentate on lower lobe and
aperted on upper lobe & with style like II #989 (rather
than like #988). Calyx tube 4-5mm, to teeth 2 1/2-3 mm.
3-4 pairs.
& fls on upper lw + 1x2 1/2 mm o'blong, narrowed abruptly
to base, flwts a squarish pad wth def mucron.
