Calyx before fl opens slender, umbelled at base, enlarging slightly upwards, 12-13 mm long. later it enlarged justificat top and closes sticking veining of 1/8 green anastomosing veins on whitish ground. Teeth 3mm long. Petals red (pale pink when fresh) 2-cleft, claws a little longer than calyx, perhaps would be called cuneated. (Petals seem joined together at tissue but this may be only because withering) Seale white, 2-lobed. Stamens come just to that of style, broadly before fl. An cleat 1/2. Carophore is thick, deeely grooved, pubescent, 9mm long; capsule ovate 7mm long, the calyx contracting over it.
