P610 3-12-32 Malconia arenaria DC Kn II 34, Cote B22 567 (Kn query if the plant so reported from Stega by Ware et al was not really M. parniflora DC for which see Cote I 83, Box 22) Flyz in sand back along at west end of Arenal with above. Slender, perpendiculer white top root to 5cm, enlarged at very top so carried as by two or branches now fallen. Due to it's rise from this point to 5 cm or less, the oldest ones bearing 1-2 short branches. Its mainly wide spreading on run decumbent at base. Sts lvs calyx x pods all softly star-welbed, pubescent. Stiffy-lvs simple, oblong, blunt at tip, narrowed at base, the st-lvs beside the basal lvs about petiolled, lvs thickish, mostly entire, some of lower ones with a few obscure teeth. Calyx 2 mm, or pedicel & same length, then purple tinged. [illegible] erect, almost equal at base, the exterior mes narrow-white margined at top, rounded at apex. Petals 1-2mm longer than sepals, square tipped, entire; light hinged purple or pinkish, growing much darker. Fls about 1cm X 1+ mm, rusty. Septurn has two narrow veins close together down middle similar to vein on edges. Coty- lcdons incumbent //0. 3-12-32? Helianthemum originifolium Pers. forme Serrae Kn#201, =H.
