ear-like points (number not determined). Style
pub1 with capitate stigma (about as high as calyx)
Stamens several (possibly 6 or more) no petals
found. A mere guess is Epilis Potula: Cote
#93, Box 106, BVH 62.
3-20-33. Erodium Cleusum Welll KruII/30, Box 83, Box
58, Cote I 257 Fl v adv. fr. Bellevue just west of gate
and E. malachoides l. on wall Calle Bellevue.
Carefully off. E.c - tho' pub. is a fresh clean green; E.m-
is more densely pub. & dusty-gray green.
E.c - not glandular; E.m - glandular on calyx and
in depressions) carpel also mst (dorsal part
w! leodefo) on young fls. E.c - has sepalaun 12mm.
E.m has sepalum 1mm. In E.c - the carpel
slopes almost smoothly towards the beak; in
E.m - the carpel has a depression on each side
at top & ridge & a furrow below these depressions.
E.c - has petala more brightly rose than E.m -
which has petals duller ab white plant is duller.
E.c - has beak of seed about 3.5cm; E.m - has beak
about 2.5mm.
These obs. seem to diff. plants more than size
do, tho the E.c - dorsal general aspect & broader
fls. The lobing fls. is very similar in the two
species and like Criterily E.c - #638. As for
sterile stamens: the bear few sparse hairs
m edges in E.c - but the same seems true of
E.m -
