816 1-21-33 Bellis annua Fl. Bellevue. Ray range from nearly pure white to definite lavender fringe. Some when dry become blue [In 1932 Mrs. K showed Kew a plant whose rays had turned blue and was told it was B. coerulescens. On Bellis coerulescens, but she does not know how this name relates to B. annua L.] 2-11-33 ? (Aeonium arboreum - "Hortus"): Senpervivum arborum L. Kn I 53. Cult: F & G. garden of house north of E statements. This is the plant with terminal rosette of thick spatulate elliptic lvs. surfl of many bright yellow flo. Very commonly cult. in Mallorca. [Mrs. K a few days later found O. lutea nearer Audraitx] 3-8-33 Cyclamen lutea Cav. Kn I 409, Bar 462, Bon 313, Cote III 389 Fl. San Telmo (near Audraitx) col by Mrs. Kennedy [cf lmts O. fusca L info from Bellevue 3-9-33] Border (gomtorge) yellow, 5mm wide inside 5mm has the brown v gray of fusca, the brown much narrower than in O. fusca. Effect lip very square at base and round at extremity, the lobes overlapping (no open sinuses as in O. fusca) the edge rather frilly & general effect of border is concave. Petals almost as yellow as border v tending to frelleness v slightly wider than in O. fusca. Note: Contour drawing of lutea is more like much like O. fues. O. fusca as to shape of lower lip.
