11-17-32 Celpia argentea L. BMGCP:253. FLvfr Cult.
Infanta 8. Infl an oblong spike (or two raceme
looks like spikes because pedicels very short) siler
white, hence very near to wild form. Each
pedicel subtended at base by acuminate bract
vf with 2 similar bracts directly under the
parents. These bracts all shorter than parents
but similar -- in color and scarious texture.
Filaments about 1/2 as high as parents and united into
a tube about 1/2 of their length. Style as long as parents,
very slightly 2-parted at apex. Capsule opens
like a box, with about 4 seeds on basal placenta.
Parents segs erect but the refraining capsule
plainly visible [At earlier date bought a modest
in Palma a specimen with soft magenta red
(most "coscent" color) and a rather loose panicle
it. with many short, slender spike-like racemes,
loose somewhat dropping forming a panicle. Feel
of exactly like those in specimen from Infanta?]
11-19-32 Crocea minuscus DC. forma Camberedici.
(see 9-16-32) FL, west of Cas Catala. Take shore path v
instead of climbing over wall, continue along on out-
side of it. The crocus is blooming freely along wall
v on the ridge to which it leads. Plants found also
on shore path on the west side of the 1st sort of bay
(before reaching the 2nd bay which has a small
v military bath house). Note that stigmas
