sent by Mrs Kennedy from Cindiaix. Stem (as sent) 1⅞m
high, 7 which upper terminal flowers well old
pods, each outluded by bract extending at
widest intervals to the compact shoot inflo at top.
Largest lbs 18x4mm v pods 'subtimervied' Corolla
no more than 4mm, with def blue lines (20x) to make
it look dark blue to eye. Its tube is undstat base, 1+mm,
xspur is only a conical tooth less than 1mm long (Vi.
angularus me shape rather than as if Cote). The
articulus winged seeds 1-1.5mm diam are tuberculate
v one side. Calyx lobe gland-pub. but not ciliate. General
effect is more like ill of L. arvensis Desf (Bon 234 & Cote than
like ill of L. micranthia [Cote] but tuberculate seeds v
tooth like spur seem to decide in favor of L. micrantha
[L. arvensis Desf var simplex Chev.] KnII 378 = L. simplex
DC. Bon 234, Cote# 22 ]

76, Cote I 322. F-ly young fr. sent by Mrs Kennedy from
Cindiaix. St stout, strongly ridged v sturged red.
Plant found at Raxa. Perhaps cultivated.
