Plant decumbent with its purplish, to skin, grooved on one side (making 2 edges) somewhat twisted. Stipules deeply cut. Lfts large; the terminal ones to 16x13 mm), glabrous, dentate abv middle, largest fr 8mm diam (not counting spines). Spines lobed 1.5-2.5 mm long ie rather longer than spine set. Fr spurred close wise in 4-5 coils which do not acum lax except in very young fr. Fle 3-7; fr peduncles always shorter than petiole lvs. Pedicels shorter than calyx tube. Calyx lobes somewhat larger than tube. Cordla wings longer than keel. Peduncles sometimes aristate, sometimes not.
