Fumaria aquaria Lagas Ku II 10 (Bar) Bon 14, Costa 16 & Flv unripe fs. Field set. Can Packella v Colden Rabasa. Dropped when all flo out about 2 in long, open Fls 15mm overall, the lower ones strongly red toward tip, those upper ones more nearly white except for dark tips of the inner petals. Bracts (suffused pink with white edges) as long as pedicels of fl but somewhat stiffer than pedicel. Unripe fs. Sepals (pink with white edges) acute, dentate at base especially on lower edge 4+mm long, narrower than ovella but as wide or wider than the enlarged end of pedicel in fl. Sepals persist on unripe fs when they are narrower than pedicels. In the open fl. the lower petal hangs down noticeably away from the two inner petals. Largest fs now 4+mm high x 3.5mm wide, slightly flattened with edges subtended by sepals, def. pointed at apex, more smooth. But note that lower petal is 1+mm at base v 3+ mm at tip, each wing being more than 1mm wide (this seems contrary to Cook & Ball) clff with F. officinalis of 2-2-32
