Transcription
straight, stigma distinct. Stamens few in
mere rod. Calyx spreading wide after anther fall
but concave (not plan Costa), the spread 1 cm
diam. Capsule 5 mm high with 3 very obtuse
angles; very faintly hairy at top or outside (Costa)
Inner lining? The calyx separated from the out-
side. Sepals with 3 very distinct nerves usually
a less distinct 4?, broadly ovate, acute. The 2 bracts
of epicalyx about 1/2 as long, narrowly lanceolate,
1-nerved. Stiplet much as ill (Costa). Seeds many,
small (1 mm), prismatic in sect and flattened facets fin-
ely papillate on angles.

This agrees with dise. vill which plant of 3-23-32
# 626 did not. Stems fleshy, glabrous, often curved
around with climbing habitus. Central st ending in
fl so aloft that flower is sessile; others to 6 in a
spreading on ground as that plant forma little
mat. Nodes of cylindric (or at least club shaped by base
having a tip a little larger diam at tip than at base), sessile,
partly clasping, very rounded at apex, no nerves
showing. Largest if 19x3 mm. Leaves ciliate at base
with a few hairs like flattened scales (20X), no
edge discerned. Fle seem sessile in axils of bracts
or [mostly] terminal. Calyx tube clearly distinguished
