E. platyphylla. 11-5-20 ?? Euphorbia platyphylla L. Bar #13 Bon #80 (BV#406) & #48. San Puerto Pollense protruding cultivation. Flw fr. Sts 20 in high slender, mostly leafless. Umbel of 5 short rays divided in 3 & again in 2.. The whole inf 4 in or less long, ray bracts appy this rather sparsely pubescent with longish hairs. Venderounded not "large" (4). Per- laps means "large" only in comparison with E. Hrusota Pusch.) Involt #2 with ciliate lobes. "styles longer than ovary, united at base, slightly 2-cleft" (4). Peplum capula 3 mm high, looks al-most equally 6 lobed (because sinuses are shallow) very tubercular, natty but sparts not "depressed" (4) or "hemispherical" (Bar.) and glabrous. Seeds 2 mm long. Brown, smooth or obscurely warty with flattened white caruncle 1/2 on young short & strong blades, late densely pinnately veined 1/2 x 5 mm, narrowed at base to broadened mid rib, almost sessile, rounded at tip with a tiny fold at mid. vein which makes them look apiculate, very finely serrate with a very narrow reddish margin (this color might not be visible except with microscope or strong electric light).
