Necks in drain on peduncles about 1/2 in. Inv bracts
fleshy very closely appressed, invol becoming

Pollensa. St woody v often much branched (like
tree) so not annual. Joints (fls ats) thicker
than long. Seems to be 2 forms: (1) The
tree-like form 10 in high, woody branches.
